How close of a race do you think this will be?

Default How close of a race do you think this will be?

Buddy of mine just bought a new 1 series BMW. We're going to the track next week and have a bet on who will win. The loser has to fill up the winners gas tank. Kind of a fun wager. We're not sh*t talking each other and are just keeping it friendly. My car is the V6 and I have intake, exhaust, set of headers, plug & wires, grounding kit, clutch, flywheel, lighter rims, and braking mods. His car is completely bone stock.

I looked up the specs of the 1 series and here's what I found

170hp and 210 ft lbs. We both have a 6 speed too. I'm thinking it will either be a pretty even race but his car is lighter than mine so who knows. Anybody here want to guess who the winner might be?

Nate...he posted stats and said a couple times its a 1 series.

I think the Beamer owner might win but not by much. It could very well come down to the better driver.

theres the 120i, the 125i, the 135i, then the d series. the 120i does 0-60 in around 7-8 seconds. the 135i does 0-60 in around 5 seconds. subscribed for results, good luck!

it'd be nice to see the tib stick it to some eurotrash. but yes, the model is important. racing a 118i is a bit different to racing a 135i.

You'll get pwnt.

That's a European spec 1 series with an engine option not available here. You're facing either the 230hp 128i or the 300hp 135i.

thought that was his hp/tq. guess not though, you're right it matches the 120i.

yeah, he just picked the lowest one. but by saying its a 1 series, makes me think he doesn't know what actual model his 'friend' is getting.. the stats for the 120i are just what pops up when you go to the site.

i think the 120i (as per floyd not avail in the US) would still win by a small margin, and the 128i and 135i will pwn him.

i asked the question because i saw the diff options on the site and he didn't list what model it was.
