If you all remember I got 16.007 last time with 4-1 header and WAI and practicly no gas, this time i had no back seat, but more gas, heavier rims(15s), and took my header out, and my best time was 16.36! So, As you can see header will give ya .3-.5 better time in a 1/4 mile run! And if i had an exhaust the header would have been more efficient!!!

 

Just out of curiosity, what type of 4-1 header do you have?

Is that the one that they have listed for $100 on ebay? I have the SSautochrome 4-2-1 header myself.

 

I have the black one, one's that were for $75.

 

Damn! You got one hell of a bargain! I can't remember exactly what my gains were with the 4-2-1 header were but it gave me somewhere between .15 to .20 off the quarter, according to Gtech. This means that the 4-1 SSAutochorme header should go under the best bang for your buck catagory!

 

you have manual or auto? If you have manual then you should have gotten 4-1 header, if you got auto then 4-2-1 is right for you, but if you have auto less power will be seen because of the power loss...

 

I have the manual tranny. I should have went with the 4-1 header but SSAutochrome only offered the 4-2-1 header at that time.

 

So, why don't you sell your 4-2-1 to someone with auto tranny for $100 and get yourself chromed 4-1 for $144 shipped? I think it's worth the extra money....

That's not true for everyone, depends on what you want out of your car.

I got 4.2.1's, it's what I want out of my car. I've got a manual.
