Rd1 Vs. Camaro Rs
Ok guys as some of you know I have a 97 RD1 2.0l intake, headers, 2.5 exhuast, and My friend jsut bought a 96 Camaro RS completely stock. Both cars are auto. He wants to race me, dont worry theres a track close to my house. Would I stand a chance or no? Would it be close or is there even a chance I could win?
Ok I raced a 1998 V6 Camaro 3.8L at the track.(timeslip to prove it) I ran a 16.8 with I/H/E and he ran a 16.4 with exhaust. Personally I don't think you will win only because yours is an automatic. Even if you lose a race between friends, its all in fun!

yeah i have an auto and am a big 5-speed fan. but it's not like we had a choice i take you bought your car used.
don't even bother with a swap. just wait until you get a good job and lease a 2010 5-speed and just have it over with. that's my advice haha.
no use seeing who is going to win, obviously the bigger engine. believe me on that one.

I predict you will be equal at the start. smile.gif
If coming second isn't gonna make you grin, spare the components.
Should still be fun to do, paricularly if you do beat him.......at the track.

umm.. i would say the camarslo.. but both cars are going to be pretty slow.. do as much weight reduction as possible before the race, pass. seat, rear seats, whole rear hatch crap.. and MAYBE ull have a slim chance..
camarslos are heavy as fvck..
