No turbo, no nitrous, all motor only. Can you hit 14's easily with an RD?

He didn't say with full interior and street tires.

Make it very light

Get the suspension right

Slicks

Add all the N/a mods

Why not?

Easily? No. However, with enough money... I'll hit 8's, all motor.

I think it's very possible. I thought there was a member or two that did. Mid-15's is easily accomplishable with minor bolt-ons, a few weight reductions, and good tires.

Edit: A quick search looking in the stickies shows that Tdonnell did: https://www.hyundaiaftermarket.org/f...ost__p__425041

What about a stroker kit? Get the engine to a 2.2 or 2.4, with every single bolt on, slicks, suspension mods and no interior...you should be able to do it ok. Not low 14's or even mid. More like 14.9 to 14.7 at best.

For 14’ you need power to weight ratio around 4,5kg/1KS and up to you is how you will accomplish that

If you strip everything from the car I think that you will be around 1050kg but you will need at least 200HP for low 14’

I imagine you could get an RD lighter than that without too much effort. My J2 is down to 1053kg (2320lbs) and it still has full interior.

Everything under 1100kg is not easy to get and you can forget about the interior
