I raced a nissan sentra 2.5 SE-R Spec-V thursday and the test and tune and my local track in Benson NC. I knew the cars were fast and didnt think I would have a chance. He got the start but I stayed with him went to 5500 rpms and went into 2nd and started to SLOWLY come back, 5500 rpms again and went into 3rd and still just slowly coming forward, but when I hit 4th gear I started pulling like crazy and before the finish line I was 1/2 car length.

He had a CAI, Header, exhaust, and some other small stuff

I have Header,High flow cat, Cat-back exhaust, Muffler, CAI, Nology Hot wires, Nology Silverstone Sparkplugs.
I still have tire and jack in the back too and forgot to get my tool set out of the back.

i take it since you didnt mention any times, this was probably a cover for a street race..

thats good you beat him, but its interesting considering the 175 hp and 180 ft*lbs of torque the spec-v has...

hey i said i knew it was a street race, and wondered how he could beat a spec-v with a near stock setup.

I figured the spec-v guy missed a shift or something...

 

could have been auto too. if it was auto vs a manual i think he could have got him

 

if i remember correctly there is no such thing as a auto ser or spec v...

at a track a almost completely stock NA beta wouldnt have the power to reach 4th gear you stay in 3rd until the end of the track MUCH LESS a 1/8th track
