i'd say.... slicks a more over reated with slick you have a lot of traction yes but you loose MPH at the line
on the other hand DR won't hurt your trap speed smile.gif
a freind of mine showed me some vidz of mustang doing 8-9 sec with like 16Xmph on DR ...... important thing if the sidewall size....
and DR will be safer for the car axel tranny smile.gif

Since when did trap speeds become more important than crossing the line faster?
Both Tim and I run slicks without problems. But do what you want.

nah, you can have a faster E/T with the same trap. Typically front fronts have higher traps for the particular E/T because of the traction issues off the line. Rwd cars typically see lower traps because of the superior traction off the line (as long as they hook properly)
When you use slicks, your 60' drastically decreases and your E/T is lower, because your having traction off the line dissimilar to whats possible with stock fwd; and since your trap is lower you can have a faster time before you have to shift to 4th
