lol I didn't post this to bash you Odessit

I do believe your times, 100%. It's just that so many people are on the forum who just show up, claim 14-15 second 1/4 with like 1 or 2 mods.

I'll be flat out honest, the only mod I have on my car is AEM CAI and I'd be LUCKY to even get a 17 on my 1/4.

Not everyone out there can just go get a 15 and say they did it. It takes alot to hit those numbers, you have to be a good driver. You can't spin tires during your run AT ALL or else that time is lost.

I'm just sayin... I'm only 18, been driving a car for 3 years, and have never been to a track to race my Tib, and I highly doubt that with this expirience I could pull a 15 like so many people claim to.

Odessit: There is no doubt of your times. Only <3 here mang

You should definitely go and try what you can get at the track w/ your car smile.gif it's fun to drag race and try to make your times better and better! very addictive I have to say! smile.gif

You should definitely try, and I'm sure you will get something between 16.2-16.7 your 1st time! good luck!

eibach springs
plugs, wires
fidanza flywheel
act clutch
b and m shifter

i guess it doesnt help that the track is at 6200 feet elevation

People are gonna get different times depending on where they live..elevation, temperature, ect. Also, not all cars are created equal out of the factory. Some cars are just a little faster than others for some reason stock. I believe most people tell the truth about their times it's just that what may be an easy 15.9 for someone in Canada might be a 16.3 where I live due the humidity and excessive heat.

I'm also Agree with that. Hyundai said that the 1st and 2nd generation runs 16.5 (2.0 DOHC) Doing 15's is very difficult with an Stock Tiburon.... But with modification with CAI, header and exhaust and serious WEIGHT Reduction could be possible... But it really depends of the driver..... knowing the car is very important and shifting just in time.....

Other elements are important like miles running, year of the car, etc....

He should just go to the strip with his car...all of us who have done it know whats possible. Im in the 15's everytime with my mods, and im sure he would run in the 16's stock. Go run for yourself and then analyize the numbers, but you did a nice job of raising suspicion nicely about some times.

Default Turbo on 200k?

Well since everyone has timeslips. I will film my car at the track for next year since winter is coming here. I almost have a complete na setup except for headwork, high comp pistons and ecu. Hopefully real-engineering will have that ecu ready by spring. I plan for some decent times. I posted awhile ago about my gtech run but again i don't know how accurate they are (14.9-15.3). Oh and redzman i'll have pics for you soon. I've been a little busy.

How do I find a track to go do time trials?

Do you have to pay for a run? Or pay for time? Anybody know of any places near Connecticut so I can hit it up and give it a shot.

I've done strips with my friend in his Lazer, I love it. I think I'd have alot of fun doing it in my Tib.
