Default running rich...

So the idea for the stock Gen2 Tiburon in the 1/4 is somewhere in the 16s right? I see people on the site talk about getting into 14s and 15s with exaust, headers, and intake.

Now I haven't actually done the 1/4 mile with my car, but I'm having some serious trouble buying these results.

My friend drives a Plymouth Lazer with 210HP at 13 PSI. He's extremely good on the line and he usually clocks anywhere from 13-14 at well over 100 MPH.

I raced him the other day and I gave it my all, and he just ate me alive. I'm not saying anything bad about the Tiburon, I love my car and it is fast, but the 1/4 in 14 or 15 with just headers, exaust, and intake... I dunno mang. I'm not convinced.

Very well written. I agree, fully.

Also considering the fact that when you want timeslips, anyone could go print one up on a calculator with a printer, or borrow one from a friend with a Viper.

LOL

Only way they are LEGIT, for real, is to have a few folks there that can vouch for you, or to have it videotaped.

I was the one who got 15s with CAI and weigh reduction. And I would not be lying to anyone on this website because I have no intentions to do so.

I have two timeslips that show my 15 second runs and I don't think I need anything else to prove myself. I hate when people call other people liars....

I think this should be moved to drag racing.

I definately agree. I for one have gone to the track MANY times and the lowest I have gotten at sea level with 80deg temps is 16.09 with headers BBTB, Intake, exhaust and HKS SAFR.

I have a 1.8, but I have firends with the 2.0 and NONE of them have done lower than 15.8-15.7 with almost all the non invasive NA mods you can do.

I'm not accusing anyone of lying

I'm just saying... it's very questionable

Even saying the car runs 16s stock is kind of pushing it

Then to go add a simple intake and exaust and headers which in no way gives you more than like 30 HP and say you run 15s or 14s? It's just hard for me to buy that.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Speed-Factor)</div><div class='quotemain'>Yes 15's are possible with what you have done, we are talking about people claiming low 14 sec with the same setup as you. I'm not going to buy it without a video. </div>

agree, but it was some moron who made 2 posts and dissapeared, no one should pay attention to people like him.

odessit has been claiming this forever, and even posted time slips, i don't think he would lie.
weight reduction helps a lot, and a lot depends on the driver too.

thanks zoned smile.gif

him and I discussed it on AIM, so I think we are good now. But there are some people who claim unrealistic results, screw them!
