hot = not dense
humid = not dense (more water particles in the air than air.

Get a CAI, tune up, oil change if you need it and maybe take out your spare tire, and the backseat if you have the time.

Try it again and don't punch the gas when the tree turns green. Don't manually shift your auto either. And don't hotrod it or you'll most likely just spin at the start. Just press the gas hard (not flooring it) when it's green then milliseconds later floor it. You should be gettin 17 something after that.

ok.. thanks for the adivice. I will try these:

1. dont press the pedal to the floor at once, i will try to press slow until I get te floor.

2. I“ll try to rev a little bit higher with the brake. with the o/d off. ( off means that the fourth gear doesnt connect, right? )

3. I will try to get rid of the weight that I have ( spare tire, subwofer, Tricket, and maybe the back seat ) i think that my tricket ( dont know if its the exact word ) weights around 50 pounds..... is the kind of hydraulic lifter.

4. I gonna tune up, change the sparks plug wires and the sparks, and try to run with 15" intead 17".

any other adivice that might give me better time?

Sometime ago i remember tried to do the 2 option but I didnt notice any change, what I did notice is that I shave like .3 in the 1/8 shifting by myself, ( L, 2, 3 ).

thanks again,

tricket = jack methinks.

Is it what you use to get your car off the ground?

If it is a jack, its quite a hefty one... I don't even see where you would have room for one of those in the tire well LOL. Stock jack that came with Tibs is what... 5 pounds? LOL.

Get rid of all the weight you can. Weight matters a lot... especially when our cars are already fairly light. Losing 100 pounds in our car is more of a percentage weight loss than if you say, lost 100 pounds in a V6 Tiburon. Depending on how much time you have before you leave for the track, rip out everything you can and leave it home.

Definately get a tuneup... very helpful for the money you spend. I guarantee my GSX when I bought it (poor, beaten soul) gained 15whp with some new plugs/wires/oil/filters/etc.

remember, it takes a LOT more power to move extra rotational mass than it does just regular extra mass.

put the stock wheels back on and see how you do.

this jack is what I use to lift the car to change a tire.

well, i will change oil, wires, sparks, and clean the air filter and try to relocated away from the engine compartment.

i will put 15 or 14 wheels, just in the front, ( dont have the stock wheels ). and we“ll see how i do-

the ngk are the best wires, right? and the sparks the ngk too? or another ones are better?

That time sounds about right for a Accent though, not a tib. I remember my mates Manual Accent strugling to stay outa the high 17sec bracket.
