I went to the track..
I went to the track this last saturday and sunday, and I started to make 18.550 with short ram, 2.5 exhauts, muffler, AFC, and 17" wheels.....
the first two runs went like this, 18.550 the third was 18.22 on sunday the fourth was 18.200 the fifth: 18.18 and the last one: 18.02.
So, this was at the 350 feet above sea level with that mods, so you think its ok for a Automatic 2000 Tiburon ?
what do you recommend to make less time..?

Press the gas pedal ALL the way down.....
Did your wheels spins at the start everytime or something?

Dear god. I think if I took the restrictor off my lawnmower I could make those times. smile.gif
Can you post up a picture of the slip? So you can see where your problems lie (first 60 ft', high end, etc.)

yeah, that just doesn't sound right man. I do not have times on my car yet, but the only engine mods I have are an AEM CAI, 4-1 Header, full 2 and 1/4" exhaust and no cat. I am in the midwest (not sure what elivation), and constantly beat someone who runs low 15's consistantly. Not by much though.
dude, throw that short ram in the garbage and get a CAI!
You need a 2.0" or 2.25" exhaust for N/A, then I bet you'd get a better time.
Throw your stock 14" or 15" rims on (or get forged light weight 17's)
your Auto should have got at least in the high 16's or low 17's with those mods.
what were your reation times?

^^LMAO
!!!!!
Was this your first time at the track. My first reaction time was crap too.
You must have had some wheel spin or a very slow reaction time to get those times. I think in an auto you have to somewhat ease onto the gas (moreso in high torque cars) instead of just puching it.
.....but 18.5???
Maybe one American second = 1.1 Guatemalan seconds or something...lol

LMAO!
Is'nt there like serious humidity there? , im sure that would affect things even if his reaction time was dead on.

True... South America is humid. Its probably hot down there now. I live in optimum conditions so I kind of have an unfair advantage to getting lower times. VA rules. tongue.gif Hopefully he will reply back with a timeslip or something.
Automatic tib's acceleration is ridiculously slow. I have an auto tib and I feel almost pathetic. Sharkev, when you punch it does it feel like your tib waits a while before it actually jumps?
