ham I didnt launch it, I was still getting used o everything, and what do you mean fix the car manual swap, it has a new air filter and wires, maybe plugs but I dont think they can cause that much of a problem, I keep the car as well as know so what am I doing wrong possibly
whats a good 60' time to shoot for?

went out again tonight, still hot about 80

i launched it well i floored it while holding the brake and it only went up to 2000 rpms that seemed strange to me
60' 2.646
1/8 11.174 65.35
0-60 9.579

I pulled .525 gs off the launch,I never spin my tires in straight lines

How many miles does your car have? You might have internal troubles that just a tuneup won't change... yours is the second car I've seen with low GTech numbers... wondering how the Tib's longevity is now. I borrowed my friends (the newest version) and pulled 138 GTech HP off of it, so I dunno...

Either way, with an auto, I would at least try and get 2.4 or 2.5 sixty foots. Maybe your tires are worn? I get 2.2 and 2.3s on my 60 foots.

keep in mind how hot it is there though, it pretty much turns his CAI into a WAI lol.gif he's sucking in 95 degree air from outside, your getting 70 degree air. pretty big difference.

your OD button DOES make a big difference.
keep it off always if you're racing or timing, also keep your ECT on power.

Your times are seeming pretty high for having I/E.

I'm with 2kShark, with just a CAI I am pretty sure I could beat or achieve your 0-60 time.

As far as launching with an auto..do you hear the tires chirp? If not, you could be doing it better. You want them to have a chirp, not spin a lot thogh--traction is your friend.

My tires almost always chirp. I run on 205/40/17 Falken/Ventus tires.

From my experience, whenever the tires are to chirp I notice a significantly slower time in my runs. Usually slowly trickling it off the line and then nailing it has the best results.

My tires are worn out, but hey have a treadware of 280 coopers, gonna get some azzinies after the next autox which have less grooves in them and 200 treadware

This mornings conditions: 83 degrees 76% humidity better results

1/4 17.165 80.89
60' 2.644 slight chirp
1/8 11.088 65.92
0-60 9.349
84.1 hp
90.2 tq
my power dies off at high rpms, have the same hp, 80.1, at 4719 and 5919 rpms then at 6022 it is 73.8 hp this can be corrected with higher cams right

Also guessing your weight doesn't do any good for hp and tq numbers... personally 2844 seems a little high to me. Get the car on a scale somewhere, if you have too much weight it will lower your overall hp and tq numbers. Personally, with me in the car and some weight reduction (spare tire, jack), my RD2 weighed 2750 pounds.

If that still doesn't fix it, go buy your local car parts shop and pick up a tool to check your compression. Should only be like $15, and they should give you plenty of instructions on how to use it, like keeping the throttle wide open and disconnecting the injectors. Compare the results you get to Webtech.

Temperature shouldn't make that big of a difference in whp and tq numbers... maybe ~5whp or so...

I just weighed it and got 2880, which is pretty high concidering I have over 50 lbs weight reduction, but I weigh about 210 so thats maybe a reason, I broke 11 second 1/8 today but dont have the exact #s because my dad is testing with it now, but Ill look in to getting a compression test after I work on the gtech rpms, it said I only reved to 6150 rpms but my tach says over 6500 dunno.gif so Ill work on that first

Edit I did some more runs and so did the evo and the evo is also reading a low hp, 160 so I think it is the gtech not the car biggrin.gif , so I am mre than half that so Ill just use it for a reference for future mods, such as how much more hp my future header and ud pully will give me, just relieved its not the car, maybe its the pitch of the gtech which you have to go the drag strip to calibrate, it should be good for autoxs

when was the last time you changed your battery? i too have a g-tech, and i too am having an issue or 2 with it. when the blower isn't on, in the daylight, the rpms jump all over (fl weather). my stats are not in conjunction to the butt dyno. my gtech says i'm getting slower, but the seat of my pants says otherwise. i think my battery is going to crap and that might have something to do with it, cause from what i understand the gtech reads the rpms off of the battery (i don't know how but i'm going with it) so bad battery bad readings? i wonder if i were to install a voltage stabilizer if that would throw off the readings of the g-tech? also how do you have your g-tech wired up-... hardwired or off the stogie lighter? and what did you have your pitch set at? help me so i can help you! thanks!

ok, according to the times u posted, my probe is faster then an evo, i wish it was true, but i highly doubt it.

i pulled a 9.051 1/8th mile, so the evo should be at least in the 8's you would think

The reason your rpm stays at 2k when you hold the brake and punch it is because that is where the stock converter stalls.

Basically that is the fastest your engine will turn before the transmission input shaft HAS to start turning. I don't know how to explain it simply.

Sounds like gtechs are POS's. Where are the 1/4 times for the tib??
