Yeah, I think I just need to get to know my car better. That is the first time I have ever got on it. I got tunnel vision as soon as the light turned green. laugh.gif
Oh, just for comparison, a 1.8T Jettas best time that night was 10.2 and he has raced several times before. I think he said he had an AEM Cai and exhaust done.

wtf? they are that slow???
times that you got java, should bring you to 16.5-16.6 range on 1/4 mile. thats not that great for all of your mods, just learn your car better, and find good shift points for you!
Im probably going to the track next friday. anyone wants to come to capitol and represent hyundai?

We've been thru the Shifting thing before guys, 6000 or after is too far, your power drops off CONSIDERABLY after 5800.
Yes, you still get more power, but the deal is you are wasting time going up by 100 RPM every few seconds or you can shift and go up 100 RPM every split second. It IS up to you, but, the fact remains, you loose power after 5800 RPM, and the REAL racers in Korea shift and have their lights set up to shift at 5800/5850.
Let's not turn this into that argument again eh?

Me neither, so why did you post that?
Stop posting off topic stuff guys, EVERYWHERE.
It's getting out of control.

Ok, I got a shift light on order. Will install and do a DIY (per Redz request) as soon as it comes in. I will be racing again on June 4th, so I will update you all then.
i guess i can add mine. it's only an 18th mile here in j'ville, but once i get back from this deployment i will run gainsville and have 1/4 times. on the 1/8th 2.21 60 foot (no traction) 9.32 @ 75.6. not too shabby for an 03! all i have are headers, race exhaust aem cai weight redux and ground controls (set at -2").
i am going to get a fully prepped block from a guy named tim conni at nextgen motorsports, and put the team sr turbo on it. i hope to be in the low 12's high 11's by the end of next year, but i don't know if that will ever happen....
