Ahhh what fun. I think I need a shift light though, and I definately need to work on my reaction time. I got paired up with a Mustang Cobra with S/C, so I knew I wasn't going to win. Here's my slip.

re
my first time at a track was 8th mile...on my 1.8L tibby...i had the short ram-air intake whatever (filter popped on the maf) and a muffler at the time (just a muffler, no piping just a muffler) ...and i ran 10.7's all day... .5 is a perferct reaction time i do believe...
and really i'm pretty sure reaction time has NOTHING to do with it...you could wait a second or 2...and the final time counter whatever...doesn't pick up till you cross the the start line or whatnot....
shifting is a big part i suppose...and when racing i shift my ass off as fast as i possibly can...and from what people tell me i can shift pretty quick.
edit: and i was in the mountains...my car always feels a little peppier back home near the beach.

R/T has nothing to do with your final times....
btw, java, i sent you PM 2 days ago, you never replied to it...

Then it was probably my shifting, cause I was hitting the rev limiter and that is way out of the powerband. Odessit, sorry I forgot all about it. You have a PM.

in my car i try to start the shift at 6 or a little after...never hit the rev limiter...learn how your car sounds and keep an eye on the tach to figure out when you should probably be shifting out. and then just go "crazy" i just "throw" the shifter as fast as possible and get off the clutch as fast as possible, just slide your foot off to the left so it pops up faster...
taking the rubber thing off your clutch pedal helps out ALOT for this.
