remember, this is barely a street car. all it has in common with one is the body, headlights, some badges and welds. i bet they doubled the bore size. it's all about fuel output. it also runs on race fuel. it's built head to toe for durability. this was all made in a rally development factory in England, so all of the parts came limited from there.

all of my time loving this car, and 90's rallying, i've been trying to figure out how they manage to repair the roof after a rollover. i doubt they have spare roofs, especially for a hyundai coupe. it must cost about a hundred thousand dollars just for spares to complete a rally season. perhaps more. this car alone is worth about $50,000USD but when it was new it was probably over $100,000, maybe $150,000 at most.

i've really wanted to get in touch with David Whitehead and Wayne Bell; the two men who fused Hyundai and Rally together with the design goals of the Hyundai Tiburon back when it first emerged as a pencil drawing.

Supercow, you mean Alister McRae? He's Colin's brother.

PS. Is this video by HyundaiKitCoupe from this topic - CLICK? Anyone knows what is the soundtrack there?

Is the cf intake in the pics a 1 off or did someone produce these?

It's probably a 1 off with a decal slapped on for the Press. If you REALLY wanted to chase it down, the team might be able to tell you who made it. I can almost guarantee you wouldn't like the price of one, and that driving with it around town would be disappointing.

Your probably right but would be a cool for a show car. It looks like an individual tb setup though.

Absolutely love that car.

I have the front vent that you dont like and will be fitting it within the next few weeks (finally).

The strut manages to look so simple yet would fit better than most aftermarket ones, and would be easier to produce!

The car was worked on with the help of MSD in the UK, they are a blackpool based company I believe and are still in existance just not so strong on the race scene nowadays
