nice. ive always loved the rally pics
|
Nice pics! Why do they call it a kit car?
edit btw, check out the hood scoop. interesting... |
oooo. i love it.. if a widebody for either of the rd tibs is ever made, it should be modeled off the look of that car, just maybe a lil more extreme.. i love that car..
|
noticed they five lugged the rims.
No pics of the whole engine bay? nice tho |
They call it a kit car because the frame, internal body, lights, interior is all stock and the rest of the car is gutted out and rebuilt with a works rally kit that a company builds and produces (in this case MSD). the engine is rebuilt with the kit (i this case Roush) and transmission and axles are redesigned for rally purpose. they have body moldings of the kits in england however you have to know somebody who works there to actually get them... or be prepared to pay a hefty price.
that hood scoop is also part of the rally car. |
Tada, new desktop.

Notice in this pic, the hatch is fiberglass. It's bending with the support.

Somebody steal it and take it to flyryde to make copies!
i so wanna get rid of that damn heavy ass hatch. |
I know of only one photo of the engine to exist and it doesn't show a lot. i'll try to find it but i doubt i can. yeah the hatch, the hood, the bumper F+R are all fiberglass. to my knowlege the fenders are too because i have seen pictures of the body panels.
there is a guy with that wing somewhere in south america. i'm wondering how on earth he got that. maybe a mold of the wing when the ex-eriksson car rallied in argentina. i think veenhuizen rallying bought the car and is rallying it currently. their website is www.veenhuizenrallying.nl also have some really amazing photos. guys, notice the Iceman carbon fiber mirrors, sweet ey? they don't make that shiz anymore... *Three new pics added to links* |
