Re: pulley but no belt
Well he doesn't (according to his sig) have any sort of A/F controller so he is kinda up shit creek. But yeah I saw that too. On one run is was higher then leaned out and on the other is was lean, jumped up and then went back down.

Re: What is the best way to start with an automatic......??
Another thing to remember... not all Dyno's are alike. The Dynojet that Fordfaster used is the one that Sport Compact Car likes.. The one Roller used could naturally read lower than the Dynojet.

Re: A little birdie just told me....
I've never bothered to dyno my car... but some of my mates have & I know for a fact that you can easily add a few WHP on your dyno sheet by doing the following just before the dyno run:
- Pump your tyres up to around 50psi to ensure minimal wheelspin... better yet, use spare set of crappy wheels & tyres as well if you've got 'em... the harder the better.
- Use cheap spark plugs for better spark.
- Clean all of the oil off of your air-filter.
These things obviously need to be changed back after you finish on the dyno. Maybe these things work better on higher HP cars but I'm sure you'll notice a bit of a difference

Re: Car of the month for November.. VOTE NOW
the only mods i have are in my sig .... no header and no aftermarket intake
my current intake is the stock airbox which i opened up to let more air in, with a k&n drop in. oh and my elbow has a gash so i might get an intake, but still contemplating .... but as you can tell i dont have any air-fuel management and my graph shows that from 5k on it starts running richer, so that could be fixed with a safc..... but ill save my money for a standalone in the future ....
the run was done on a dynojet.... 248c i think is the model #
and was this forum always called drag racing and dyno results ???

Re: Fuel Injector Question
Roller, I moved it to the proper forum.
LOL
Wow, I'd love to see what you'd run with a non restrictive aftermarket Header and a decent CAI.

Re: pulley but no belt
now remember that a dyno jet is a free rolling non force feed back dyno. a mustang dyno (mustang being the name of the dyno not just for ford mustangs) actually puts force against the rollers depending on the actual weight of the car, kinda like a g-tech.
so depending on the actual dyno, air density and temp, other aspects could also effect the numbers and not just the mods done to the car.
the best time to dyno is in the morning when the air is brisk, not to cold or to hot.
i dynoed both dynos, on the dyno jet i came out at 240whp and the mustang dyno i came out to 233whp, same air temp, density, humidity and same time of day in a 2 day period. nothing was changed on the car, tuning wise.
i would'nt call these numbers disappointing at all.
