but keep in mind that the stock pistons in my opinion have a load limit
once reached i don't think anything will help

indeed!
i was lucky and the part litteraly melted itself,the turbine housing had a nice aliminized finish inside but the turbine wheel didn't show any sogn of damage,i had it baalnced again to be 100% sure, but it didn't required to be redone (pure luck)
it's one reason why i'm waiting on my new bottoms end before putting my new ballbearing turbo,i would hate to scrap it becasue of a 50$ piston...

Yikes, you guys are right. That would be a dumb move, I need to just wait until I want to spend the money on some rods.
Although I still think I could run 16-18 psi, heck I've done it before when I had bad creep issues, but that was with a much more conservative timing map so...
