Reguardless of the times being truthful or not (personally I'd like to believe your telling the truth), this might be the biggest controversey that we've had on this site.

 

its doable.. Zach (SlantedH92603) had similiar results with a AOS intake and something else. However he also ran my car and got the same times as I was... Its doable. 15.69 is very believable.. but our cars seem to hit a wall, remember the faster your car is the harder and harder it is to shave time off.

 

I guess it is dueable..I was able to do a 15.97 four years ago with nothing more than a makesift air intake and custom exhaust...I am at sealevel and the temperature outside was 59degrees. It was the ONLY time I was able to get that low of a time with those mods.

 

Thanks guys, and once again I have no intention lying to anyone here. I don't have any mods hidden simply because I'm waiting for the fans for my turbo and that will be the last part that I need, don't have money to spend on anything else. so all I have had was WAI which I turned into a cai with just a piece of mild steel pipe.

Our cars are pretty damn good up until you shift into 5th(at least mine is) at 110 mph or so it barely goes up anymore 02.gif hopefully turbo will fix this problem

I'm probably not gonna get to the track until next year again because it's closing in less than a month and I will be working every Friday. I also want to take our restrictive stock muffler off and see what would that do for our cars. Maybe I will do it this year, or never.

anyways!! everyone fix their cars learn how to drive them and head to the track!

 

i thought you were claiming 15.5.... 15.69 is almost 15.7 which is totally believable.. sometiems its not about know how to drive a car. sometimes its the car. not ever car has the same compression, same behaving ECU... etc... there are minor differences that can cost you tenths of a second per difference.. like i said, i let someone drive my car that was pulling the same times as you in your car, and pulled the same times as me in my car.. plus you have a RD1 correct? for some reason they are a little faster stock...

 

I never claimed 15.5. I posted my results after the race and you said it was impossible. But w/e, I'm happy with what I got and can't wait to turbo my rd.

Yeah, I have RD, very basic, so there isnt any extra crap in it. I think rd2's are a lil slower too. You should just turbocharge yours and run mid 14s smile.gif

Hows your elantra doing? did you ever fix the fuel cut problem?

 

i am turbo charging as soon as I get my stuff from Tim. Elantra has a boost leak and boost creep.. im starting to hate boost :x
