i'm in ohio, my roommate have a 2003 acura rsx type s, all he had done was warm air intake, i have a 97 tiburon that was in 2 accidents totaled both times, but fixed, cold air intake, custom straight piped exhaust, 1.8 motor swap, and i gutted my car before the race, the only thing in my car was a drivers seat, plus i had removed my cat. so my check engine is on and commanding my engine lean. i ran 16.3 in the 1/4 mile, he ran 15.7. short shifter and rims next month. i have a .025 reaction time, but not on my 16.3 run. Hyundai makes some incredible engines, and cars. dont feel bad guys hyundai is catchign up to some fast cars out there!

whats that about......your car should have came STANDARD w/ the 1.8L.


The 2.0L was an option....so whats the swap about???

Didn't some of the 97's come with a 1.6?

 

I think some of the ones sold overseas did, stateside they were 1.8 with an optional 2.0 until 1999.

Will it always make it run richer? My CEL is because of my rear O2 sensor, I thought it was fine. Maybe that's why I keep sputtering.

 

How can you see it leaning out?
If it fails, and you don't look at it for like 6 months, U B screwed.

 

Didn't the ''97 fx model come with a 2.0? my 97 had the 1.8 but my 98 came with 2.0

 

I believe all FX models came with the 2.0.
