15.3 stock??? please show me a time slip or a video!!!
I've seen so many GKs race and the best times they get were 14.8 with many many mods! so I don't see they getting 15.3 stock!
I've raced against many GKs at the track, stock, mildly modified, heavily modified, and they are not that fast smile.gif too damn heavy!!!

NT.com has plenty of 15.3-15.5ish stock runs... they have a timeslip feature like we do. tongue.gif Solo2Tib ran 14.7 with intake and Underdrive pulley.

Please find me a person that ran 15.3 stock.... I went through their list and the best stock I found was this guy right here:

He ran 15.6 stock, but there is no time slip, so it's still a little sketchy.

Eveyone says they are too heavy...I believe that and know that GK's are heavy but does anyone know the weight difference?
How much heavier is a GK compare with an RD (I believe RD1's and 2's would have close to the same weight..)?

There's solo... I/E/P... 14.6. Solo is a hella driver though.
Couldn't really find a stock timeslip. I wouldn't think I/E is going to give 0.6 seconds off a quarter, even though the car is really restrictive. I would put the car between 15.3-15.5 stock. To run with a manual stock V6, I/H/E would probably be necessary to make it a driver's race.
Also, check the race weight that most people put on them. 3300 pounds w/ driver with the normal stuff removed (jack/tire). I'm thinking the US Tibs are probably around 3100 pounds... accounting for a 200 pound driver. Dunno where the extra weight comes from.
EDIT: I give a RD2 about a 400pound advantage on a GK.

Those cars are pretty heavy. My 92' B4C Camero Z28 weighed between 3300 to 3400lbs. If you think about, the GK's are closer to weighing as much as the Camero then the RD1's or RD2's

hamhead, I/E is a great upgrade for GKs. They are very responsive to NA mods, so those two mods could definitely shave off .5-.7 sec for the GK. So, stock GK runs high 15s and with a good driver in modded RD you could definitely beat him!

The GK might be heavy compared to the RD but it's also a bigger and more tightly built car with a very rigid frame. It is among the lightest V6 sport coupes. I had an RD and now I have a GK. The RD is really fun to drive and is quick but you can't really call a GK slow. I mean 7.1 stock is not bad at all especially for how little HP they produce. I mean the RD only produces 140 HP at the crank and it runs 8.1 0-60 I must say that is impressive also because when i had my RD just with intake I was able to hang with my friends GT V6 probe. It's hard to get another car with only 140 HP and run 8.1 0-60 times IMO. Hyundai's little engines make their cars decently fast for the amount of horsepower they have. And yes the 6 speed tranny on the tib is very aggressive. First gear is insanely low on the 6 speed. Also the 2.7 Delta responds amazingly to mod (or so I'm told). Stock for stock ther GK would win but with a good launch and a bad driver on the GK end anything could happen. Good luck!
