2.0l vs 2.7l
I've tried to race a 2.7L tiburon. I drive a 2.0L 2001 with header, under drive pulley, and CAI. do you guys think it would be close, or would the 2.7 take off and leave me. I've not driven a 2.7 either, but i hear for some people that they are fast and some people say that their not that fast. My car will really fly on top end thoe, so if i got one to race from like 30mph kick, i don't know.. My uncle has a trasmison shop, we've done so stuff, made it some what faster on top end, but really didn't help coming off the line. I don't have any trouble out runing any most 4L and 6L and some 8L cars. do most tiburon run like that or better. Just trying to see where my car stand. if know what i mean.

He should take you if your stock and he is stock. with the CAI and Underdrive pulley i dont think its enough to shave almost a whole second off your quarter. If he cant drive very well then maybe..

You wil probably loose..
Your headers arent giving you that much power.. especially since you dont have your exhaust done. Your CAI helps... Your underdrive pulley is freeing a couple of ponies..
You are still pretty close to stock...
The 2.7 is slow.. and the 2.0 is slower..
Remember the 2.7 is only putting down about 150whp and is heavier then the 2.0L.
Its faster.. but not THAT much faster

If its a manual GT with a good driver, you probaby will lose. They can get them down to 15.3ish stock. The automatics however only put down 140whp and they weigh a few hundred more than ours. The gearing in the V6s manual 6-speeds is very aggressive, a little bit closer geared than our 5s.
