He's put on a few good years and looks less like a clown. Makeup him right and tell him to act serious when required, it'd be alright.

Thing is, we've seen Ben try dark and brooding and he sucks at it. What this tells me is that they're trying to get away from the Dark Knight and go back to comic book Clooney. Yuck.
