How fast were the turbo s-coupes?
I cant find any real data on them like their 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. We're they pretty fast since they had boost and were light or was it a pretty tiny turbo that didnt do much? Was the engine a 1.8 beta or more like a small alpha?
I've read 9.2 seconds, somewhere. The 1.5 Turbo Alpha made like 115hp 123ftlb. It had 7.5:1 compression so off boost power would suck, although that small T15 turbo should spool somewhat quickly.

For today’s standards it’s not fast car but it was nice to drive. It had nice torque in low/mid range. In Europe where we don’t have “American muscle cars” it was decent fast car back then
Like 2000J25SP wrote it has T15 small turbo pushing around 0,25bar od boost and it doesn’t have intercooler

I remember when I was stock and raced a friend of mine with 1.5 s-coupe turbo. He was with full exhaust and CAI. By the end of second gear he was at my rear wheel and after that it's clear the the Tib is a bit faster. 1/4 mile something like 2 cars difference.
Another friend bought a turbo from Supra and that S-coupe was sick !!! BMW M3 3.2 320+ hp was no match
It was fun when some honda guys tought that full bolt on Vti Civic has a chance... it was ugly !
I will find these videos and post'em soon

So then all you would have to do is change the turbo, add some better fuel injectors (maybe a new fuel pump) and an intercooler and you would be good to go? What about tuning?
