Travis Pastrana, my f-ing idol, did a freaking DOUBLE BACK FLIP to win the gold for the motox freestyle.
does anyone know what that means? i'm just so amazed and speechless right now, it was just awesome to watch.

an SCCA Tiburon (300hp AWD Garrett turbo) was supposed to be there competing against Colin McRae on some L.A. rally track. America always does... or rather doesn't, care for rallying at all. nobody knows about it.

the FIA destroyed rallying at its finest, and two deaths afterwards. Michael Park, co-driver of Markko Martin lost his life in 2005 when his Focus WRC hit a tree which went into the driver's door in great britain because the drivers weren't used to the conditions when the calendar was moved back.

don't miss out! tune into ABC at 3pm eastern when they broadcast rally car racing!!!! i don't know if it's 3pm nationally but i'll be checking ABC programming. they should show that tiburon.

here's info on Hyundai's first time rallying ever since the departure from the WRC: ALL INFO HERE. don't miss it. ABC tomorrow should be rallying for one hour i think!

This guy is awesome, he lives a town over from me and his Tiburons are sweet! He used to race a 1997 Tibby, now he's running 2003's that are fully customized.

did you guys catch that! f*cking amazing. colin mcrae rolled his car right on the jump trying to turn into the hairpin too soon and gave pastrana (the moto-X double flip guy who also rallied) the winning second. so pastrana won gold Rally-X against colin mcrae and did a double back flip on a motorcycle the night before. almost seems set up but colin was really pushing it!! amazing, and on ABC!

the tiburon didn't do so hot but 5th out of 12 overall can't be all that bad. i love colin. and grist was there with him. they both came out of the car smiling.

travis pastrana is from Maryland and he's only 23... goddamn i don't know how that happened.

That roll then back up was amazing. I dont think it was fair, like Travis had more hp. The reason I say that is because his lines were horrible. The tib had 298 hp and they said something about a suby with 350. But Im watchng his motox and its amazing.

colin was really pushing it. the only reason travis got ahead was because he shaved that U-turn with the palm trees. i think colin hopped the curb but he was really precise. colin also kept hitting waterbarrels he was so precise. the trick is to brake really hard before turns like in f1 and drift wide almost touching corners and sidewalls.

haha i was reading about them all sharing stories about what they've run over at dinner the night before. all of the drivers mentioned killing lots of bunnies, even deer. colin's story was the best. he hit a photographer but instead of injuring him the photographer twirled in the air like an ice skater.

people here seem to not know who travis pastrana is...
that dude's been around for a long time man. he's got so much talent on a bike, i was sad to see him race rally. it's not hardcore enough. that guy is a motocross king and legend. i wish i had 1/100th of his talent.

I was actually in tears when I saw Travis do that double backflip.. not mainly down to the flip itself (that really got my adrenaline going) but because of the bit afterwards where he was with his mother.

It suddenly dawned on me that I havent seen my mum in nearly 3 years.. too long 02.gif

Oh and CMC = god.
