what makes the wrx sound like it does? I would love to make my tib sound somewhat like one. just a dream but it would be cool.

thats right, there is no twin turbo, but the boxter engine makes a unqiue cool sound.
Porsche also has those types of engines, and they make that cool sound you want.

exactly... Boxer engines, consider them a flat v4 (or 6, or 8, or even 12.. depending on who made them) have a unique sound and vibration. Generally they give a little "Shake" every fourth revolution. They do however have a LONG exhaust system and believe it or not, are a major PITA to turbo due to it.

heh... guess I know too much about "flat" engines.. comes from being into the aircooled Porsche and Vdub scene for so long.

The thing they really have going for them.. low centre of gravity. If you were to look at an old air cooled vwbug.. or even a porsche 911, consider that the highest part of the engine itself (not including the intake or cooling shroud) is no higher than the top of the bumper. Think about that for a moment.
