The world is now +1 felon, -1 destroyed car, and -2 innocent bystanders killed to death when a stupid-assed street racer rolled his car going 3x the posted limit in downtown Austin during rush hour this morning.
Take your fun street racing stories and shove 'em where the sun don't shine. We don't endorse, condone, or talk about street racing at RD Tiburon dot com.

People who street race, let-alone break the speed limit, piss me off. That kid's future is over. I hope he gets a lengthy jail sentence.

Rediculous. He was racing in traffic. Rush hour in Austin is 12:01am to 11:59pm. So racing downtown, around town, at ANY time in Austin is dumb.
I don't believe this was a streetracing accident. Sounds more like the guy was just speeding like a maniac like they always do in Austin, and the police/news were hyping it up as usual cause his car had some APC mods.
Oh, and yes, I occasionally streetrace.
(Out of city limits!)
Here comes the flaming.

The laws in Nova scotia=== If the speed limit is 100 km , between 100 and 115 is one speeding fine., between 115 and 130 is double the first, anything over 130 is considered racing(even with no other cars, one is racing against himself or a time)and car is impounded and your in jail....at least 2 accidents a year resulting in deaths due to exessive speed happen here, sadly ,victims are usually teens or early 20's.

Agreed with gtrjon. Sounds like the guy was just speeding in rush hour traffic and lost control in the S curve. Pretty dumb......who speeds in rush hour traffic let alone when an upcoming S curve is coming up, the guy was clearly not thinking let alone not enough experience behind the wheel.

I know Austin. I know Stocker does too. I want to know how the hell this guy can possibly speed 3x's the limit in downtown Austin? It's unpossible! Lots of curves, always contruction throughout, and traffic 24-7. The thought of someone actually streetracing against someone there boggles my mind.

anyone can say they street race. i usually don't do nothing about that because i can boast about shit also that may or not be true. when you provide proof that you are like a video, that is a different story.

Hey man, it's a toyota, his accelerator pedal probably got stuck...
Okay, seriously though, I know austin, I grew up there, and I live there every summer. The only place I could see someone getting up to that speed is on IH-35, at maybe 2am. That's about the only time the roads are clear enough for that. Hell, I remember driving my tib around austin all summer and I couldn't drive around after dark without getting someone who wanted to race (and my car was bone stock). Seems like racer nuts are drawn to large cities...
Anyone remember the kid in florida who took his BMW M5 and four of his buddies off the end of an airport landing strip doing 150+? I remember when the forums he was asking around at found out what happened to him.
