i guess i should put up my goals as well. I want to start up a shop with a friend of mine eventually working on tuning cars and all kinds of performance oriented work. I want to take hte EFI101 classes since thats what Motec and others use for their authorized dealer courses.

I know its not automotive but, i've been working for Dunham's Bay Sea Ray Boat Co. for about four years.

We mainly deal with Mercruiser engines which are made by GM but we get a few Volvos here or there. I started out cleaning and moved my way up to a tech where i've been for the last 2 1/2 years.

I had the pleasure of putting a 52' Silverton Yacht together last summer + 30,000 in electronics, it involved a crane, and about a week of reading wiring diagrams. Me and another guy from work, took us a month to get it built and in the water.

Spring through fall is nice because i'm always on some body of water on a service call

A few months ago I started doing gelcoat/fiberglass repair and finish.

I've gotten two 6.2L crate long blocks with rod knocks, from the factory. fing02.gif

I do like my job, but I just don't see myself doing this forever. I don't see the boating industry lasting to much longer with gas going the way it is. Plus they're starting to piss me off more and more lately
