I always used "Random Technologies"....till I found out there was a company by that name.
So...
Random Automotive Performance...or RAP for short. tongue.gif

What would I call my shop... RIVAL CUSTOMS. That's if I was opening that business in an area where similar business had already formed a client base. Of course I'd use some fancy graphics and lettering. Maybe even make the "R" in rival, look like Honda's 'Type-R' symbol. rolleyes.gif
I just think the word 'rival' reflects the attitudes of car manufacturers and the individuals that drive their vehicles. Cause, quite simply, it is a rivalry between the makes and models that are popular for modification.
EDIT: You could combine Random's and my idea to make "Rival Technologies". I think I like that one better.

When you apply the word "Imports" you are segregated your business from a large 'domestic vehicle' market segment...
The shop here, in Brantford, is called
"Everything Automotive". And there isn't much they can't find for any car, and the prices aren't too bad, as long as you have connections with one or more of the people that work there.

I actually have connections with a couple of guys who own "Low-life Customs". He's my girlfriend's, best friend's, ex.
He drives a '59 Chevy Impala, its butter yellow, and forrest green, the rims are gold and green multi-spoked 14's that he had sent up from California. He keeps this thing immaculate.
He's done work on a few Civics, Mustangs, and other cars. I don't think the business is registered either, they do it for pocket change and for fun, since he already has a good job. They rent a garage/storage facility and do all their work in there...
