lol... home sick? I heard about it through facebook, nothing on the news. Someone posted a rant on facebook that the major news networks weren't carrying it, then I found out it was only a 5.5 and really no damage.
I would assume 5.5 is nothing for Cali, but structures are built with the anticipation of movement. I don't know if NY is prepared for earthquakes quite as well as the west coast.

Apparently this was felt as far south as Hartford, CT. Some people in the restaurant were talking about being evacuated from their office building there. Never experienced the sensation myself, so I have no real input on the situation.
