Banff eh? Too cold for me.

I'd be driving back up to Toronto but I'm saving my money to go up there in March instead...that's when I'm getting married, yikes.

It really totally sucks to be stuck back in NY again, especially this time of year. Christmas is gonna be sh!t, but whatever.

no I am, but not with my fiance. I'll be with my parents, but I'd rather be with him. My family sucks, lol.

 

you think your family sucks? i doubt it, my bf's mom died when he was a toddler, and his mom's sister took him in. so his aunt is his "mom" and guess wat, i really don't like how she was to him when he was growin up, becuase before he got into a relationship with me, he had never ever gotten a single present (neither birthday nor x-mas) in his life, not even a birthday party for goodness sake. we all know that every little boys and girls gotta have birthday parties!!! as soon as we were together, i was the one who got him his first gift, i was the one who gave him his first birthday party. and then i brought him into my family, whew, you have no idea how grateful i am that my family actually loved him, and became a family he felt true to.

i'm not saying this so everyone feel sorry for him, he doesn't need/want that, i'm just saying this so everyone knows that whenever you feel bad, just remember, there's always someone worse off than you.

 

oh ya, banffs pretty chilly lol, were going skiing in lake louise though and thats way colder even though its so close

so really happy to get away for a few days but unfortunately it isint to a warmer place, its colder! lol

 

That sucks! You need to buy him some Hot Wheels for Christmas, every boy should get them when they are growing up.

 

I'm not out to make it a competition to see whose family is worse, nor am I looking for any sort of pity party. I could go on for days why my family (or lack there of) sucks but I really feel no need to divuldge deeply into my personal life. It sucks, let's leave it at that.

I don't really care about christmas anyway, I'm atheist so I don't get into all that religious nonsense and I'm not a fan of capitalism or consumerism so I don't get into all that shopping BS either. It really is blown way out of proportion and if it were up to me I'd put the months of May - September on repeat for the rest of my life. lol

I am considering making the trip up to Tdot for New Years Eve though...it's very tempting...

^lol, thanks java for the hot wheels idea, but my mom did something a lot cooler and better than that for his first birthday gift from her, lol before we got together, my mom had a '89 nissan 240sx, it was really cool. then in our 10th grade, when we started dating, we were sharing car stuff together, i told him my dream car (which was a pt cruiser at that time) and he told me that his dream car was a 240sx, he'd LOVE to get his hands on the first year they made it, which is '89. i was smiling to myself when he told me that lol

and when we were past dating, and in serious relationship, and that was around the time my family treated him like their own, i told my mom about him telling me his dream car, and for his 17th birthday, my mom put the title to that car in a gift bag, lol the bag was still flat , and when she handed it to him (we were out eating in chinese buffet celebrating his b-day), he thought she was playin with him, that there was really nothing in the bag. "oh come on silly look in the bag!!" is what we said to him.

sure enough he looked, took the title out with a confused look on his face, and then he examined it real close. .... oh my god i just loved the psyched gaping look on his face! he couldn't believe that my mom was LITERALLY handing him her car for his birthday!!!! all he had to pay for was the title transfer.

^^and tibbychick, i figured you weren't competing, i was just sharin a little sad story to remind everyone that whenever they feel that they've got it rough, just remember that there are always people out there in the world that have it rougher than you (such as the starving third world, iraq, etc.), and believe me, it actually works for alot of people i tell it to, when you think of those people, you'll feel a bit of relief on your behalf. if ya know wat i mean that is lol :smile:
as for your atheist part, so is my fetish too! i'm not exactly an atheist, but i don't believe in god, i follow the path of the wicca beliefs. as for x-mas, i just love buying things for people and x-mas is a good excuse for me to spend my money without fetish complainin about it lol lmao.gif
