Dang.
personally, i feel more safe in my tib then any other car because of it's mad handling. I can trust my driving to my vehical. It's a much more "technical" vehical then a 93 escort, 01 escort , 95 civic, 66 impala, 85 camery or a 93 cavalier (i've owned too many vehicals). It grips the road better. But I think if it came down to sliding side ways down a high way, it would probly be the 2nd most disasterous of them next to the 01 escort. Daily driving, i feel pretty good

Of all the car's in all the countries I've driven, I feel least safe in my Tib.
But then again, a hummer smashing into a tractor trailor + no seatbelt is still gonna = bye bye
Drive safe ya'll.

As an ex-professional truck driver, that scenerio was always the one that scared me the most. An out of control vehicle heading towards my truck. Seatbelts or not, I doubt either of those people would have survived crashing into the trailer of an oncoming semi.
I am unsure who I feel worst for. The people in the car, their families, or the driver of the rig. I do not know if I could keep on driving knowing that I killed somebody.
As for feeling safe in the tib. Out of all the cars I have owned, it is the heaviest and has the most safety features. So I feel safest when driving it compared to any of the previous sports cars I have owned.

After being in the accident in my Tib, and looking at how the damage is afterward since I rebought the car, I do feel very safe in it. Any other vehicle I KNOW I would have at least broken my legs.
But there isn't much you can do if you get hit by something fifty times bigger than you.

Uh, guys, that really looks like loneshark's car. Does anyone know his real name?
Nevermind, I just checked, he was online today at 6:00. :phew:
That was the first person to come to mind, blue 00-01, euros, good to see he's still around.
Trust me, the Tiburon is a safe car to be in in a wreck.

that's sad as sh*t. could have been one of us true. check this out though, mercury grand marquis is unbreakable. that sh*t is like a f*cking tank. it's a killing machine. it's no match for a cheap little korean tin can.
i know it's the tail end of that car, but judging from the pictures it seems to be a normal wreck. the car has a really strong bodyshell, the driver and passenger would have only had some broken bones if they were wearing seatbelts. my guess is they died from hemorages in the brain from the impacts that mercury gave it and without the seatbelts they virtually had no chance -- kinda like not having a parachute when skydiving.
when my car overheated (stupid waterpump) in florida near tampa on i-4 Martin Luther King Jr. PKWY (what a coincidence), i looked at the freightliners and all those cars travelling 70-90mph and little old us in the litto red car on the side of the road, i ordered my friends to GET the F*** OUT of the car. You don't realize how small our cars are until you're stranded and a 10,000 ton freightliner flies 90mph past you within a few meters of your car.
i feel anything but safe when i'm driving to florida in my tib. but... guess that's what makes it fun to drive.
