^Thanks HKC! smile.gif

My dad was even telling me before I got the turbo installed that it can be a pain in the ass but I still decided to go for it. It was definitely worth the wait.

No Im not pushing the car yet..too much lol. Im being okay on it, after she gets tuned though, forget it. wink1.gif

Oooh and I have yet to take exams 02.gif my school is stupid and we take exams late.

yea there were alot of little issues with teh car...

the vacuum lines were run using clear aquarium tuning that was too large for the vacuum Ts causing them to leak air out causing fuel pressure to go nutso

the turbo that was int ehre was shit... its sprayed out everywhere

There was a hole after the MAF for what i think was supposed to be the location for the air temp sensor, but that was never done, and it was plugged with an X of electrical tape, which didnt stick after 2 minutes in turbo engine bay heat

3 FMIC pipes were un coupled but looked to be together but would flex and open up when the motor moved back adn forth

the old garrett 5 bolt flange is a mercedes style flange and the new turbo had a ford style 5 bolt... they look the sameish but are not even close

so i had to weld a new DP together for her (which i sort of enjoy doing)

a good set of T bolt clamps and some lips welded onto the FMIC piping will do wonders to make the car more reliable

that and a BOV that works (hers is opening up at idle and causes the car to hunt at idle and run really lean if anybody knows how to adjust it she could use that information)

when she comes pick up the turbo and other stuff that got left here i may try and recirc that BOV for her as it shouldnt take me too long to weld on a new recirc pipe

the car ran ok as soon as i fixed all those issues... it just needs a secondary fuel rail installed and some tuning.... i wish i had the time to finish the car up, but i put about 30 hours in on that car while getting my car on the road and dealing with a broken air compressor that sears has yet to take care of for me

Glad everything worked out for ya though

Yah i was gonna recirc that BOV for her but if you think you can chop it up quick itd take one of the things off the list i told her id do for her lol. I cant wait to put in the angel eyes lol, D'oh.

If you cant do it you could help me out by finding a pipe for it lol, all i can find is +2".

and about the BOV we pulled he vacuum line and plugged it and it ran perfect, and shes taking it easy to avoid surge. just gotta get it home ya know.

How much was that SS return line eh? i gotta do me up one sometime

Oh and when i was routing her gauge to the pillar i noticed you used like 3 pounds of electrical tape lol, can never have too much jk wink1.gif

Awesome work all around guys. This is what the community is alla bout.

HKC, maybe you should take your car up there to get it fixed? LOL

BTW, T Bolt clamps are pretty damned cheap on Amazon.com ifyou need to buy small amounts. For larger amounts all in one size, go ebay.

Thanks guys! Its really great having her back. There are a few little issues that need to be fixed such as the bov, have to put the boost controller in there, and she really needs to get tuned. For not being tuned and being an automatic she has a lot of pep to her..the most I boosted today was 6psi. I dont push her hard like that all the time but I was testing something out and needed to hit the throttle a bit at that time.

My turbo timer is ass though..have no idea how to program it so I keep it off while driving and then turn it on before I turn the car off so itll idle for 40 seconds instead of like 5 minutes..when the timers on it keeps counting until it gets up to 9 minutes. This isnt a big deal though. I might need a new boost gauge too..when the car is off the needle in the gauge isnt on 0, its on -2 lol. Dont know how to fix that.

Other then that shes doing great. I love driving around and having that great dance music blasting. Get a lot of stares at the tibby around here so that brightens up my day. smile.gif

And Ill give my props to Viper now..so props Viper, your a real hardworking guy and I thank you again.

From what I know it was real bad. Viper would be able to explain just how bad it was as he fixed it up.

No pics unfortunately.. sad.gif
