Things you found out
QUOTE (Mad-Machine)
I am still running the same lamps in my headlights from when I bought the car back in 1999..and I do a fair amount of night driving... My biggest beef with the car is the cracking door panals.. my driver's door has cracked twice and the passenger side once.
Ditto
- I had been running my OEM headlights until recently when I changed them out for superwhites, The OEM ones are in the trunk, just incase these rice,... uhm I mean superwhites burn out. I am VERY surprised that my Headlights have not gone, but I have gone through a set of fogs, since I always run my fogs and almost always run with my headlights on, even during the day.
- I always turn off my headlights, I have never left them on with out noticing as soon as I get out, and am able to turn it off.
- Currently my driver's side panel is fine, but passenger is a little cracked.
- Weird ass vibration noises,... it annoys the hell outta me. I knwo where most are coming from, so I deal with it, but still,...
- Wish there was more sound deading, between the firewall and cockpit. And more sound deading in general. Even before the exhaust and CAI, it was not a comfy quiet ride.
- Oh I don't know about you, I'm used to it now, but when I first got the car, I found the side mirrors HUGE!!!
- The OEM Mich XGTV4's blew goat, only would work and perform good if it was like +50billion out and on dry pavement. If you drive in the morning with a bit of dew, and you decide to drive a little more "adventurous" it would never stick right, and would break when you didn't expect it. evil.gif My cheapass Kumho 712's are WAY better, Dry AND wet. laugh.gif
- Cup holder is USELESS!!!! BTW, I have a spare one from a 2nd Gen. Will fit 1st gens too, just will look slightly off. I was gonna keep it for a project, but If anyone wants, email me.
Of all the beefs I have with it, my RD still gets looks so, I love it.
Also, I used to baby the car, wouldn't drive it hard for the first like 30000km's or so, but after seening what they do the cars in Korea, and peeps like Onpol and other peeps that I know that haven't done oil changes in like over 10000km's shock.gif , and have no problems, I started to drive the car as it was supposed to be driven. And I do the regular maintenace, so it's all good laugh.gif
The BETA motor KICKS SERIOUS ASS!

Well, if you want cheese, but a headlight alarm for those of you without the "ding ding ding ding" chime telling you that you left your lights on after your car if off, JC Whitney has one for a whopping $7.99.. HA HA
I won't be purchasing it, but what the heck, here's the info for kicks and giggles:
"LIGHTS-ON ALARM
Alarm beeps until you turn your lights off. Mounts with double-sided tape. Approx. 1" L x 5/8" W x 1/2" H."
"sku # 73ZX4756N $7.99"

I love my Kumho 712's mang.
Only got one vibe noise, under the dash somewhere near the center left side.

Check your cup holder / pop out ashtray.
Hold your ashtray next time this happens (keep eyes on the road and don't crash wink1.gif Hehe) and see if it stops. That's the source of my noise in that area.
I was wondering about that too. I think many of the 1st gen(don't know about 2nd).. had a vibrating sound. I believe it is the Rear View Mirror. One thing I hate though, is on a cool night or in my case... winter.. the inside fogs up badly(windshield, sides and rear window). I don't know, if anyone from HELL(ie. KayJai).. has this problem. I have to let the car sit for a while, to warm up and set the front and rear defroster on cool, just to remove the condensastion. It is annoying.
I only had to replace my fog lights once since i obtained the car in 2002, and headlights once, only because I changed bulbs to the 'pure white' style. Actually i drove a month without foglights, until i realized the fuses were ok, but both bulbs were out.

Ehhh, mine is higher in the dash, about half way to the windshield on the passenger side of the middle line.
Only around 3500 RPM also.

You can keep it on hot or warm
Just turn on your A/C
A/C acts as a "Dehumidifier"
