were they actually there for the purpose of catching street racers? or were you just calling them that since that's what happened?

Let's just say I was laughing so hard as the ABQ Street Racing Snipers took both of them down and ticketed them heavily.

No, street racing is VERY bad on the street I live on. It's perfectly straight for about 10 miles, downhill, and 3 lanes each direction.
Suckfest.
The cops are real hard on them on Fridays and Saturday nights.

lol same thing happened to me on lomas the other day
i was comin from southwest hyundai when a new 2005 mustang came out of rich ford he pulled up next to me and reved
my s2 was goin crazy as there is a school zone right by there
i reved back and when the light turned green i launched but never went above 4000 rpms he floors it smokin the tires and takes off he passes me and turns on his hazards i laugh as a cop on charleston picks him off for racing in a school zone which is a automatic double fine so speeding, breaking traction, racing in a double fine zone...

The light had just turned red before I got there, so while I was waiting, a 2003 or so Buttstang pulled up on my left. My radar detector was beeping a bit so I knew the cops were up ahead at their usual spots.
The guy on my right revved at me, so I smiled and revved hard back. The guy on the left reved and pulled a bit forward. So I revved again, knowing I wasn't going ANYWHERE. The guy on the right went again, and the left, and here it's sounding like the Indy 500 at the start of the race.
The light turns Green and they both just HAUL ass out of the slot burnin rubber.

yah even if you wanted to its prolly not worth it where you live...in parish there are no cops...ever...and we have some roads that are like 3 mile straight...some roads that are curvy as f0ck...both are fun to drive on...
:worried:Had a sad story tho...there was a corvette driving over one of our curvy roads and this road has a hill that peaks real fast and if you hit it at like 75 you feel your stomach go to your throat..well they were from out of town and they were doin 150 according to the police reports and they hit that hill, went airborne hit a tree..it caught on fire and they died...i was driving home coming the other way just after it happened...crazy
Bah... I street race all the time... only 10-60 though in 60mph zones or intentionally bogging it off the line/2nd gear. I checked through the local laws and there are no "excessive acceleration" tickets. At 10mph I don't break traction... least on the GSX. Stock Tibby tires I might though... I don't street race it as its my daily driver. smile.gif
I need to find that newspaper clipping where like 9 of my friends got busted street racing. Up to 150MPH, LOL, that was the funniest day in school the day after that happened. They all lost their liscence. Whenever I see them out somewhere I'm like "So did you drive here? Oh wait, nevermind you can't...". laugh.gif
