supercars, exotics, and your daily commute
ever since i moved closer towards tampa, i've seen some amazing cars on my daily commute to work. today alone i saw a 458 italia and an r8-... the same guy that had the 458 had a gt3rs in his driveway for the last couple of days. i used to pass by a maibach like 3 days a week. lotus and maseratti are very common over here. last week i saw a mercedes sls-...
i could go on forever-... don't get me wrong, i don't live in some million dollar house or work in a very prestigious area. parts of town here can be kinda ritzy but also a stone's throw from the projects.
guess what i am asking is does anyone else get to see these kind of cars frequently?

I do, at one point I saw more Bentley's in a week than I did my car (BK). I have a bunch of spotted on my FaceBook but too many to link here
The rarest things I've probably seen was the Noble M12, a matte black Murcielago roadster, an Enzo and a 599 GTO

I think I once heard a GT-R going the other way on the road. Too much in between to get a good look at it. Other than that, NOTHING. Highest number of PhD's per capita here, and NO exotics. I get exicted when I go to Atlanta and see a Lotus Elise!
Take that back, I was working in an expensive neighborhood over the weekend and saw a Ferrari drive by. Not sure which one, either 430 or 458 in red. Other than that ONE, no exotics. So disappointing.

jon@invison-... yeah bently's are very common here aswell. i once heard that the bently factory only produces 80 cars a year-... to me, that just can't be true judging by all the "big dogs" in this area.
strike- gtr's are rather common here aswell. credit to you for knowing the car by just the mere sound of the exhaust note!
the absolute rarest i've seen was a merc-mclaren slr on i75-... it was quite a distance away but it was indefinately the real deal!
today wasn't as good just one 70's ferarri-...

^^ I saw just a glimpse of the back corner which cued me on to it. The exhaust just confirmed it, it's probably the first and only time I've "seen" it in person.
Was driving my grandpa around Phoenix a few years back and saw a Lambo going the other way. I got all excited and was barely paying attention to the road when traffic shut down in front of me really fast. It was hilarious to see him stomping on the floor as if he was trying to hit the brake from the passenger seat! Stopped with plenty of room though

today brought 2 bentlys, 1 shelby cobra (assuming it was original because of the antique plate), and a ford gt.
it's kinda nice for supercars here in fl due to the fact that there's no snow/salt on the roads, awd isn't neccessary @ any point of the year, and we don't have emissions testing-... could be why i see so many here in comparison w/ other states i've been to.
i wonder how many of those cars on autobahn were rentals-??? if any
i've been told that the maibach i've seen locally is owned by some retired wwf wrestler who is now a volunteer-deputy. they say he goes to work in the maibach, parks it, and then hops in a crown vic-... talk about a change of pace.

not that i'm going to update this evryday but today was a first for me-...
i finally saw the m1 by bmw! though i like the numbers generated by that car, it looks a bit hideous!
i almost feel as if the regular 1-series is better looki-...less ugly than the m1! maybe time will change my mind. it wouldn't be the first time that has happened.
then again i still feel that the rd2 tiburon is one of the top 3 best looking cars of all time-... so most would discredit my opion on car stylings.
and just to remind me how ugly the m1 is, there was a maseratti a couple cars ahead of me @ the light.
