Sponsorships?

To be honest, none. We have 2 semi sponsored RD's in the US. That's more than enough. If the market were bigger or we actually made a decent profit, it would be more.
Sorry my man. I will be more than willing to review one for you and give you some pointers though.

do not shoot for the big international companies first dude.
Find a motorsport shop near you. Maybe you have already gotten work done there. Go and hang out with the guys, make friends and shoot the shit. Offer to help where it is needed, show them what YOU have to offer to THEM.
When the time is right, and you already have a feel for what their answer will be, make the decision to ask. Dont' just say "Can you sponsor me? I want free shit..." Again, tell them what YOU have to OFFER them. Maybe before asking for a sponsorship get a friend to have some work done on his car at the shop, show them you are CAPABLE of making them money. wink1.gif

But i want to shoot high!!! lol... It'd be nice but, you're probably right.
I'd try the local scene, but a lot of the people around here are punks. Mind you, tho, not everybody are punks. I'd say maybe 99% of the car enthusiests are either punks or spoiled rich kids. But I'll give it a try.

I don't know much about getting paid to show something off, but I think blacktibs is partially sponsored, and redshark is sponsored by turbowax. if you're sponsored, you're a representative of that company so you have to actually work for it, like redshark has to attend car shows or else she'll lose sponsorship. she has to have proof of that too...
but honestly the chances of getting sponsored without a good friend connection on a RD tiburon is like 5% if you do major research. first off, what kind of tiburon do you have? and how much money do you have to spend. I would get a bodykit first, then rims as a basis.

everyone has ambitions mang...Tupas had em as a Ridah' ...lmao [good song]
Hell I want to be a pilot for a major airline makin' the big bucks. But do I expect to land a career as PIC flying for Quantas Airlines from Seattle to Hong Kong to Singapore after graduation....sadly, no.
I'll probably be a flight instructor working my ass off 7days a week 12hrs a day until I get enough hours to MAYBE fly for some small commuter airline like Horizon (owned by Alaska) or Mesa Airlines. Then I'll slowly work my way up always keeping the prize in sight. wink1.gif
Do it the right way, be realistic and use your brain. We all gotta start somewhere.

Not so much as a Sponsorship, but you may want to goto a local car place and just talk to them.
Recently my car as been wrecked, and ive needed alot of parts, and luckly I have a local "import" shop called "High Point Dynamics" ive ordered over 1500.00 of stuff from them, and since they know me, they give me like awesome discounts, and even some free stuff. hell ive prob saved about $600.00 bucks.
just go local first, then go big......
I use to race bmx for six years, and I had to start out small.. but once your name is out, you will get a factory sponsorship.
(if you dont have a shop / anything around your house, check out small import buisnesses or newly started ones over the internet, they would like to get there name out.)

This is what I've got to work with. She's not much now, but forgive me. I've only had her since Nov 26 of 05.

All I really need a sponsorship for is mostly for paint, body kit, and wheels. That's not saying that I won't be chipping in any of my own money. Also, going to shows is not a problem. It'd give me the experiances that I've always dreamed of.
