pas, that is not the gun that was used. An AR-15 was found IN THE CAR, but he used two different 9mm to do the shooting. One was a concealed carry glock with a 5 round mag.

I think you're missing my point faith. All you hear is "GUNS ARE STUPID! I HATE GUNS! THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED IF THERE WERE NO GUNS!" and that's not what I'm trying to say. Yes, there are crazy people in this world that do f%^ked up things and nothing is going to stop that from happening, but I think you have to agree that the US is outta control when it comes to gun violence/crime. I think we as a society need to find a middle ground when it comes to guns and gun ownership. We need to have rules that protect EVERYONE. We are NEVER going to completely stop crap like this from happening, but how many people have to die before someone say's "ok, we have a problem."

I don't want to see law abiding citizen's have their guns taken away, but is there a reason Bob down the street needs 20 shotguns and 15 handguns with a cabinet full of ammo? The US needs stricter laws regarding guns so senseless shootings like this can't happen as easily. Need an example - Canada.

Read/interpret that how ever you like faith.

This is America and he has both the money and the desire to have it. Need is not part of the question unless you are too far-gone down the road to collectivism to save.

You NEED:

Adequate food to keep you alive

Enough water to keep you alive

Shelter and/or clothing to keep you alive

Farther down the road to collectivism, we find questions like:

Why do you NEED a Hummer when the city bus will get you to work?

Why do you NEED a full pantry when others are starving?

Why do you NEED all those guns when other people might use them to do evil?

Why do you NEED all those shoes when one pair is plenty?

Why do you NEED a house that big?

Why do you NEED a million-dollar watch?

Why do you NEED a million dollar car?

Why do you NEED a fifty dollar lunch?

Why do you NEED _________?

Because shut up, that's why. Piss off and mind your own business is a good secondary reason. You keep your hoplophobic ideology off my stuff, thank you very much!

********

Note: don't get touchy, this isn't at you per se, so much as the people who are trying to turn "why do you NEED" into "you shouldn't have, and here's a new law for you"

Edit to add: In America, we have an assumption that all of us are as innocent as a child and as pure as the driven snow, until proven otherwise in a court of law. Restricting access to tools because somebody might go bad is anti-American.

so again, more laws to restrict those for actually follow laws

tell me again how a law preventing ownership of 2 handguns would have prevented this?

explain to me exactly how only allowing "hunting rifles" would have prevented this?

you act as if this guy showed up with an armory, they found him with 2 handguns and the equivalent of 2 boxes of ammunition

what would it be ok if we were only allowed to have 1 hunting rifle and 2 bullets per person?

Is there a reason you NEED so many vehicles? Did you honestly NEED to purchase your Isuzu? do you NEED to purchase modifications for those vehicles? Do you NEED a vehicle with a turbo?

again, 13 out of every 100k people will die in Canada this year due to motor vehicle deaths, maybe we should limit you on how many vehicles you are allowed to have in order to prevent this travesty

I mean, if Bob has 20 shotguns and 15 handguns with a cabinet full of ammo that means that Bob must be 35x as likely to kill someone right?

being that those shotguns are kept so close together, the likelihood of them forming a collective and aggressively taking over the streets must multiply dramatically

GANGS of shotguns are overrunning this country and we need to put a stop to it!!

Whats worse is now we are having a increase of gun-on-gun violence because they are kept segregated away from the rest of the world

Gun cabinets are forming into ghettos and will soon resort to violence to gain respect from other gun cabinets

Does Bob need so many shotguns? why not? if Canada was invaded tomorrow, would you be confident that you will be adequately prepared to defend YOUR family? If Canada was invaded you know you would want your family and friends armed. Lets face it, if the sh*t hits the fan in Canada you KNOW you would be glad we are there for you. Why? because we are the Big Brother making sure you guys are safe.

Also, when the Canadians come to try to burn our Capital down again we will be ready for you guys this time

heres a fun fact, Canada has more guns per capita (1 gun per 3 residents) than most "first world nations" including having more than its "parent country" of England and Wales (1 gun per 16) in fact, it is ranked as the 13th country in the WORLD of PRIVATE gun ownership, does not include military armories. So yeah, Canada doesnt have guns eh?

heres another fun fact, 9 out of every 100k people in the US will die due to a gun, and if im understanding it right, that statistic also includes suicide, also you are more likely to die of Parkinsons disease in the US than all forms of homicide

PS, im only arguing your opinion on guns, we still cool right? ::brohug::

PPS, arguing over the laws and regulations of another country is pointless, you have NO SAY on what we do here

exactly. So why is it we have so little crime involving guns?

We cool. I love a good debate.

well it obviously isnt due to gun control, being that you have so many private ownership of guns

maybe its cuz yall are too f*cking cold to be outside anyways

Mexico has harsher gun control laws than most of the US, they also have a statistically lower gun ownership per capita

yet, almost as many people die per capita by gun violence there than the US and Canada COMBINED

why is that?

heres a pretty cool chart with some more info

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ted_death_rate

1/3 of all gun related deaths are homicide in the US where as 78% of all gun related deaths in Canada are suicide

explain why it sucks so much to live in Canada

Why the f is Switzerland all the way up there?!

was researching some more and found another weird school massacre

guy walks into a catholic elementary school with a f*cking FLAMETHROWER and kills 10 + himself

HOLEY sh*t A f*cking FLAMETHROWER!!??!?!?!??!!?!?!

Where the do you find this crazy sh:t?! lol. The Wehrmacht carried out some of their atrocities using flamethrowers. Then you got Anders Breivik killed something like 77 people and teens. This just shows it's happening all over the world but perhaps more commonly in the U.S. and involving U.S. schools.

Its not all about the guns. Its about r rights being taking away from us. No gun is made to kill any one. People are feeding in to the media propaganda and blaming the guns. "Assault rifles" aren't made for killing they are made for recreation, sporting, game, hunting, fun, and yes protection. They do not kill peoloe untill some one pulls the trigger.
