Obviously laws regulating fire and inflammable substances are far to lax in Germany. We need to do something about this locally.

The 2nd amendment was created by our founding fathers to defends ourself, family, and property from people willing to hurt us and that have the means to take control which is the government. Ban or restricting guns will only effect law abiding citizens. Criminals will still get guns to commit crimes and anybody wanting commit mass murder can still get a gun or use something else. Then how will we the law abiding citizen equal the playing flied to defend are selves and love ones? If there were more people with guns thing like this can be prevented. People would think twice about doing something and if the do they can b stopped.

here is a pic of the type of the gun used in the Conn school shootings (**this is what has been reported, I have no proof if this is true):

Why does anyone need one of these? Would a hand gun or rifle not do the job in protecting your family at home? I'm not calling for a ban on all guns but why would you want/need a gun like this for? A gun like this has one purpose - to kill people. Nobody buys one of these to protect their family with.

AND YES FAITH, HE COULD HAVE KILLED ALL THESE KIDS WITH A KNIFE, OR A BOMB, OR BEATEN THEM WITH A RUBBER CHICKEN! BUT HE DIDN'T, HE USED A GUN, THAT HE GOT FROM HIS PARENTS HOUSE! My point is - If his parents DID NOT have guns in the house, would this tragedy still have happened? Would he have gone through with this if all he had access to was kitchen knives? See my point?

Yup, if EVERYONE owned/carried a gun things would be PERFECT! This is the kind of ridiculous/uneducated statement that has made your country what it is today. A fearful place to live where everyone feels the need to arm themselves. Do you actually think things would get better if MORE people carried MORE guns?

Anyone ever research the amount of gun deaths in the USA per year compared to other developed countries? It's worth a look.

***Just FYI - I am not anti-gun, I just think guns need to be regulated so situations like what just happened in Conn are kept to a minimum. Yes I know you can never prevent crazy people from doing crazy things. BUT. We have as many guns per capita here in Canada, but have an extremely low gun/death rate and a low crime rate as well??? There must be a reason? Could it be our tough gun legislation?

Either way, I know this post is going to be picked apart by all the gun lovers on this forum, because when it comes to guns and the right to own/carry guns, they are ALWAYS right.

What I picture some of you look like:

The purpose of having military style weapons is for participating in military style activities. This is obvious. What you and others asking "why do you need" questions are missing is a huge difference in first principles between Americans and most of the rest of the world.

America was founded by people who fought and won a war against the greatest military super-power in the world.

They understood that unlimited government tends over time toward greater and greater oppression of the people

They understood that a tyrant is not likely to step down because the people ask nicely

They established a government with this principle in the founding document: the people get to have guns, because the people might need them - against their own government, against a foreign government, or against a local problem.

The Japanese were not even seriously considering invading the US mainland because 'there is a rifle behind every blade of grass'.

During riots in Los Angeles, I think we have all seen the picture of shop-keepers on the roof of their store with battle rifles keeping looters away.

The proper question is not "why do you need that gun?" but rather, "what the f*ck do you think you want to do against me, that you do not want me to have it?"

is that an ok rifle to have?

i mean its not scary or black right? it must be designed for hunting

Spoiler

thats ok right cuz its not black and scary looking

if his parents didnt have guns would this have happened YES IT COULD HAVE AS I HAVE SHOWN YOU

come on man i showed you a guy with a HOMEMADE FLAMETHROWER

if you wanna play the what if game so can i

what if someone noticed he was disturbed and addressed it early on?

what if he decided to just off himself would anyone have cared?

what if the media didnt glorify school shooters? do you think if it wasnt shown on every channel over and over again for 24 hours a day making some sorta bad ass out of a lonely troubled young man do you think this would have happened?

all this did was raise the bar now to become infamous all you have to do is kill a bunch of people

people treated you badly, now you gotta make the world know you are a tough bad ass guy by letting the world know you dont give a f*ck about innocent lives

the biggest hole in your argument is the fact that you are trying to rationalize a situation caused by an irrational person
