Shift Points!!!

Where do you all shift at.. each gear if they are different. im finding that when i drag im not doing as well as i think i should against cars i should totally stomp. I have an AEM cold air intake installed and a front strut bar... thats it... any tips on about what range i should be shifting?

Your powerband is between 4500 and 5500 so you should be shifting in there. Correct me if I am wrong guys.

i shift at 6000.. thats the peak power for the tibs before it starts to drop..

I'd shift where Java said, don't go much higher, your power drops dramaticly after 5500.

red line red line red line dah dah dah heh.depends how fast I want to go shift points for me of course almost 6000 to 6500 if I want to go fast as I can.Moderate speed 4500 to 5500.Daily driver 3500 to 4500 :-) I hardly ever use 5th work is 5 mins from my house thinKing of getting one of those mini gas 49cc bikes for the summer heh.

Redlining the Beta is stupid. You lose MOST of your power after 5800 RPM. Why waist a few extra seconds or so getting it up further? To hear the engine scream louder?

Like Java said man, those are the best times to shift.

yea... it always seemed like after about 55-5800 i was losing power... guess ill need to shift right there!
