haha ok if you guys wanna shift at 55-5800 i think it would be stupid to shift that low...i shift betwwwn 6 and redline, just don't bounce off the rev limiter...there definately isn't any power there..

I got my gas pedel stuck under my floor mat once not a cool thing thank goodness for the rev limiter.Had to shut my car off while I was going 60 move the mat er pull it out and throw it then turn the car back on lucky nobody was by me :-)

that sounds like a bit of a nightmare, man. I had a funny experience with my first car. I had an 84 RX7 and I was doing some donuts on grass when I hit the redline. Instead of the engin cutting, a warning buzzer went off. I about shat my pants. I thought the car was going to self destruct. It was hella loud.

i dont think someone knows what our powerband is at.. nor what one is????? and yes 55-5800 and 6000-redline does make a difference..

Andy that is tooo funny!!

I agree with Superman on this one, well for my car anyway. I can gain pretty much all the way to 6000 or so it seems. I am getting a dyno done in the next week or two and will post just to see what it looks like.

i think 5500 is too low to shift.. 6000 is a good point to shift at..

i think your calling me stupid when i am far from it, i know peak torque is around 5600 and peak hp is like 5900 or what not, i know what a powerband is, and no i don't think shifting at mid-high 5's is smart, you shift there and i'll shift at my higher points and we'll see who wins.
