Thanks guys.

I did not rear end her. I hit her in the front passengers side. She was making a left turn onto a side street. I was driving straight on a two lane road in the left lane. She is completely at fault and I have witnesses too. Like I said, I tried to stop but she was right in front of me.

So here is the plan. The tiburon will live on. My plans of completeing the kit and painting it and turboing it will continue.

As of now, we have a plan on fixing the blue car. Tomorrow both the black tib and blue tib will be towed to my boyfriends friends shop. He will swap the 2.0 liter from the black tib into the blue tib, because the 1.8 liter engine on the blue tib sucks, and is blown. So I will have a 2.0 liter multicolored 97 tiburon (its gonna have a black door, black shark wing, black fender(s), and maybe black sideskirts/rear bumper) with a 5 spd 1.8 tranny.

Then since the blue tib also has a smashed front end, I will be importing yet another Zefiro front bumper (#3) and having the Zefiro hood fixed and painted. Then next month or probably January I will go to Ohio to have Dweet turbo the living sh!t out of the car and also pick up the rest of my Zefiro kit. Then sometime maybe in April I will have the car painted. And then hopefully the car will be ready to go for show season. This car will be in shows. I have waited too long and too hard and spent too much money for it not to be. It may be a different car but its still a tiburon and thats all that matters to me.

Pat, you can still have the wheel hub, but you needed it from a drum, right? Well I definetly wanna do a brake swap so after I do that its yours. Tell you what, I'll hold the money order until I get the hub to you. That way in case someting happens and I cant give it to you, I can just send back to money order to you.

i'm sorry to hear that. it's awsome how you didn't get badly injured.
glad it's not your fault.

this happened to my school bus i was in, one time in seventh grade. the bus was intersecting a major multi-lane road from one neighborhood to the next on the opposite. as you know, school busses are long so there wouldbe a temporary blockage to the road except nobody was coming from both sides! EXCEPT this dumbf*ck lady in a bronco who tries to get in front of the bus and pass it in the left turning lane. her intent was to make it before the buss crossed by getting into the turning lane space and veering back onto the left lane right before the bus. BOOM! our bus hit the shat and just smashed her entire right side of the bronco to what looked like internal combustion. it was a pretty hard hit as she was speeding across the bus during impact. she was going about 60mph and we were going 40mph criss crossed.

she was unconcious for a while until an ambulance came. the bus? had a PAINT scratch the size of your pencil. the lady? survived with severe injuries. we were late by 2 hours. our bus driver sued the lady and made some cash. and we got a new bus route. why all of this? just because some dumbf*ck tried to get to work 2.25 seconds faster to work!

tibbychick, i know it's on your mind. but think. if you work (especially everyday like i do) you're THAT much more likely to get in an accident. think the chances of any accident are in which if you did not work (hence the car is parked safely in your driveway) compared to the chances of an accident happening when you're out there on the road everyday? the chances are way over 100% because you're out there vulnerable to anything and anything you do or every other little car out there does can mean trouble.

Not to mention you live in jersey/NY. it's a big city. you're THAT much more vulnerable of getting in an acident than if you live on a nice old country road and you work at the wal*mart [southpark lol.gif ]down the street. you get what i'm saying???

you will be in good shape. it's always an experience. at least it wasn't worse. i love your car and i wish you and the car the very best in the coming months.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I'm glad your "okay" and not worse off. I've been blessed to always be able to upgrade when in an accident, but none of mine were nearly as major. I'm so sorry to hear about this, I can't imagine how it must feel. You've put so much time, effort, and yourself into it and it's gone.

I hope insurance is able to help and everything ends up as well as possible.

Keep us updated on everything, including yourself and your health

well maybe it'll come out for the best, just think of it this way. you just sold one but get to keep all the good stuff laugh.gif well as long as her insurance pays, then you can use that cash for labor, paint, parts, etc.

oh and paint in the spring? thats when I want to do mine, what color are you doing :?:
