ive got the same setup with a corded g5 along with the mx1000! somtimes my friends grab the other mouse and screw with me tho, lol. anyway drivers have been a big issues with drivers with some people this setup, the mouse losing connection all the time, really bad mouse AND keyboard lag at times (ive experenced up to a 5 second pause before the computer registers what ive done), or just not even installing. theres some bluetooth drivers that might have to be downloaded and updated adding like 4-5 processes in task manager also...
when it works its works great tho, works in the BIOS and for POST and stuff too. (i got this setup when it first came out for like $80 refurbished so i dont know if that caused any problems...)
the batterys seem to last forever to me, the mouse will last almost a week off the charger when fully charged. if the keyboard is turned off when not in use and with energizer e2 batteries u might have to change the batteries once every 2 months with heavy use...

Ours gets heavy use and is never turned off. So we replace them about once a month or two.
I don't seem to be having too many problems with the sensor. The reciever sits about 2 feet away. It may lag once every two weeks, and just for a moment. IDK why, but it clears up quickly and performs exceptionally well afterwards. I'd still rather have it over a corded mouse/keyboard.

they had 10 of them on the shelf, I think it was listed as marked down. I guess they're getting ready to release something else (or just did, the mx5500?) and are just getting rid of old stuff. I got it at Best Buy
