Well shipping is a bit much, and missrepresented if you ask me..

Checked zips from Cal. to Tex. , shipped vai usps priority is $10.40... handling must cost them alot nana.gif.

$38.88 shipping fee for PO Box, APO, FPO, HI, AK, PR, GU, VI addresses and Canada is a rip off...

There you go. We have a winner for the second question.

I'm gonna check this out again later and determine a winner.

dangit, i wanted to say

shipping costs 20.99 to US- and at the bottom the dude said $24.88 shipping fee for Continental United States heck, they just put any price everywhere. I think its cheaper to send to APO right now so that's also FUBAR.

i gotta quit leaving windows opened.

isn't shipping APO the same as any local zip code? It shouldn't be any more for shipping, should it? I'm not playing, just asking a question.

If the shipping & handling cost is the issue then there are about 50,000,000 ebay sellers to steer clear of... Loads of them jack the shipping prices up so that they can keep the listed price down. It makes people feel better about their purchase & think: "My new APEXi N1 muffler only cost me $2.99... What a bargain!"

yeah, shipping to APO or PO box is the same as shipping anywhere in the states. But right now we're in a time of war, they're making it easier for people to send mail to soldiers in combat zones. It will be free in a few months if lobbists have their way. Yet they still charge about double!

You're right. I'd say about 98% of ebay sellers do the same thing. I never worry about it as long as the end cost to me is reasonable. The real reason they do it is to make more money. They basically build the price of the item into the shipping and handling charge (along with the listing fees/paypal fees) and anything else they actually get for the item purchase price is a bonus. There are tons of things for sale for $0.01 that have a $10 shipping fee. Ebay charges a listing fee plus a percentage of the final selling value. They do not charge anything on S/H charges so there is big incentive for sellers to overcharge on S/H.

I know why they do it, but even under Ebay's rules it's not allowed.

I don't care, I won't buy from a ebayer that does it, and I suggest you don't either.
