Rebuild WTC???
Well I *want* them rebuilt lol...Im sorry but I love NY and I loved seeing those two buildings in the sky everyday since I could remember...There is such an emptiness when you look out and see the 2 most imporant pieces of the skyline missing...It's very hard to exlplain the connection people felt to them...I mean yeah they are just buildings but it goes a lot deeper than that...
I think if they rebuild them ...they can always put a memorial inside...maybe the entire lobby with all the names of the people who died or something like that...and dont underestimate people--offices will be occupied there and people will want 2 work there...Especially since itll take years and years for this to even happen--so the shock will be a bit faded...
I just hope they rebuild...I think they have to...

I think we should rebuild them. Make them as tall as the Sears Tower so that way we can then own the three tallest buildings in the world. *ponder* Isn't the Empire State currently the 2nd tallest? If so, we'd own the FOUR tallest buildings in the world. If we rebuild them, people will not forget. They will look at them and remember when they fell. They will wonder how such massive things could fall. This won't be forgotten. Has Pearl Harbor been forgotten? It's not about remembering when we rebuild. It's about saying we won't be made to fear. And hell, if I could afford it, I would rent an office on the top floor just so I could thumb my nose at the ones that attacked them more efficently tongue.gif Course, as I said before, as terrible as the attack was, they were a viable target, as they are a resource, and in war, you attack your enemies resources. Usually you try to wait until innocent lives aren't at risk, and you don't do it with passenger planes. It's not that it happened that upsets me, it's that it involved so many innocents.
Actually, Onyx...The Petronas Towers 1&2 located in Kuala Lumpur are the tallest in the world measuring at a mere 22 feet taller than the Sears tower and the Jin Mao building in Shangai was 129 feet taller than the Empire.
I heard rumors of the new "plans" to build ONE WTC...depleting the courtyard in the middle, therefore making it wider and not as tall, giving just as much space as the old two combined(also with rumors of a memorial similar to the Veteran's wall throughout the lobby). That made me think....who the hell would sit down and take time to draw these plans with the area in shambles? An architect with an itchy finger?
