Exactly how often can interest be collected? I generally do it once a day but can it be done every 6, 12 or 24 hours?

 

It can only be done once a day, but if you don't go into the bank, it doesn't collect. When you DO finally go back into the bank, it compounds the interest and you get it all at once.
