The US military wasn't held back. Hence the reason Saddam is out, democracy is in, and Afganistan has it's own country.
Hell, look at the Syrians leaving Lebanon. Things are a CHANGING.
The military isn't about "KILLING EVERYTHING", it's about meeting objectives.
No one was sent to "Die in Iraq", they were sent to oust Saddam Insane and insure the freedom of the Iraqi people. They were sent to provide stability to a reigon that had NONE and to help secure stockpiles of conventional weapons and the possiblity of weapons of mass distruction. ANYONE that joins the US Military at all, KNOWS that their life is the possible payment for the security of our nation, and that the occasional dripping of US blood is theonly way to keep the freedom of our country fresh.
