Creators of the catalytic converter finally honored
Only 30 years AFTER their device went into world wide use....
I gotta say, it's about damn time. These guys deserve to be honored world wide, not just in the USA.

Cats, though many tuners think the extra 5-10hp gain (with a turbo'd setup, not N/A) by replacing the cat with a test pipe is worth it, I think is not worth it. And of course, the po-po will deem it illegal if you get caught. My personal opinion is that there should always be at least 1 cat on any setup, turbo'd or NA...the 5-10hp gain is minute on a turbo setup, and destroying the environment just doesn't really make up for the 5-10hp gain.
Of course...we also have morons who think taking out the cat is cool, and screw the rest of us over with the "no different engine swaps between different makes past 1995" BS laws. Thanks, a$$holes. :drillserg

^^ Doubt it was even 5HP on my GSX, difference between cat and non-cat. I tried it for a while, as it rarely sees the road, not too much of a difference.
Still, I love the Vette. No pesky cats needed. tongue.gif
