That's insane!!! I remember a snowstorm like that in 2003 when i graduated high school. we had like 10 days off of school. 3 feet of snow total. but this is nothing compared to yours!! good luck and don't hurt yourselves or the cars trying to battle it out. be careful as well.
we're due to a snow storm next monday. we'll see what comes out of that.

We're being careful..I shovel as much as I can and then give myself a break, Alex as well. We have a snow blower too so that helps. fing02.gif
Theres about 8 feet of snow already. The storm warning is until 7pm today and I heard they might extend it.
Its a pain in the ass..we have to get on the roof to get snow off so the heater works, now Alex is trying to dig my car out so i wont get cabin fever over here lol its just terrible. I was in tears today because it wouldnt stop snowing lmao lmao.gif
I give people credit here for living here all their lives..I mean I wouldnt be able too.
Oh yeah, in places where theres not too much snow and the roads get a couple inches, people do freak out, I used to be like that when I lived in NJ. Here I had to drive in whiteout conditions on the interstate..no plows, you couldnt even see where the road was. I thought I was going to die lol
Florida will be in a couple months..we were just thinking today about how much easier life will be down there.

we had another day like the one i posted about.
I woke up today and i had to push my door open (which is 4 or 5 steps above the groud) because the snow was a foot or so higher than the door.
I started shoveling at 930 (had to leave by 10:15 or so to be on time for my first appointment of the day) and i didnt get the truck out of the driveway till noon.
Then i went to work and had a shitty ass day, came home to find out the heat was out again, so i had to climb up on the roof again and shovel around the inlet again, then light the pilot light again.
We have a snowblower but my dad never maintenanced it so i had to spend 3 hours fixing it and 10 minutes after i got it working again it ran out of gas, so i just grabbed a shovel and went to town.
heres some updated pics
heres the walk way

and heres some shots of the truck sitting at the edge of the driveway to minimize the amount of snow it takes to remove before i can get out and go to work.

Ok, we got hit again last night and i have to go dig myself out once more, we got another 2 feet or so and weve got over 100 inches so far, whippie.
But everytime i go through town on the way to work i see news people, i was in the post office and a guy from news channel 9 was in there asking if his camera guy could do a ride around to get some pictures, its actually ineteresting to be making national/global news since my town is pretty small. This is the second time in 3-4 years that we've made national news because of our snow. Its surreal because i work in syracuse, where they have only a dusting, and then i have to drive back into this vortex of snow that is parish. It seems like an alternate world where once you enter its borders its snow 24/7 lmao
Heres an article on yahoo, enjoy! cool.gif
