I just read something very sad....the Xbox 360 will NOT be backwards compatible. Also, MS says that they have no plans for TIVO-style functionality..... 02.gif

No, if you read the first post in the thread, it is backwards compatible. As usual they are being quiet about what all it will play, but expect it to play the best games. When I get my 360, I really don't plan on playing many of the Xbox 1 games anymore anyways.

As for Tivo, who cares??? LOL I've got a DVR with my cable service.

Redzman, why did you argue back? Why didn't you just delete the posts? Just curious. B)

Ahhh, good point. Because then I get labled a nazi and have to defend 2 or 3 threads about censorship.

Does this new xbox have bluetooth? Cause I know one that does wink1.gif. Seriously, I am just glad that these companies have finally made wireless standard. It is 2005, we have been to the Moon, Mars, and several other planets in the solar system. We now have the A380 flying, which is MONSTER. The internet is now a way of life, and dial-up is a thing of the past. Wireless phones also are now the norm, and everyone carries them. Someone tell me why the hell it took this long to cut the cord from my freakin controller!! I am done ranting now.

Cost.

The OEM controllers aren't bluetooth (Raise the cost 100 per controller), but there is an expansion port on the controller and that's where you'll plug in your bluetooth reciever. If you look at the pics on the bottom is a regular wired headset plug. That's good enough for me, it was the controller cord that limited stuff.

I've never owned a wireless controller and never really thought about wanting one. But, hell, I'll take it. Maybe it's because I hate wireless mice.

Redzman, do you know if there is going to be a WIRED controller for sale?

Well, the stats on this sucker are 2.4GHZ, 4 controllers per Xbox 360. 40 hours of play time on a charge with either a battery pack or 2 AA batteries. If your batteries go low (The 360 will tell you), you pull out your USB cable and plug it into the 360 and the controller, continue to play if you want, while it charges.

Yes, there will be a wired version available also, for "Justin Case".

Along with its default wireless variety, there will also be a wired version of the controller available for those who are afraid of the invisible demons that are used for wireless connectivity. The wired version will feature a 9-foot cable with a breakaway connector, just as the Controller S has.
