First of all, it wouldn't be a bank giving you the 0% interest loan, it would be Hyundai (or a finance subsidiary). They may have a different credit criteria than a regular bank. That said, it kind of sounds like the dealer is playing games. Find out who is providing the lease financing. If it is Hyundai (and not a bank) that does the financing, then the dealer is definitely playing games - why would Hyundai finance a lease, but not a loan with a slightly higher payment?
Anyways, if you can't resolve this to your satisfaction, you've got a price and know what you want - call other dealers and see what they can do.
P.S. If the best the dealer can do is 7.1%, why not purchase a nice, used '03? You can save on the depreciation (and GST if you buy it private), and your rate from the bank won't be much different. Play this card to the dealer and see what he has to say.

Yeah, you gotta love that, the folks that NEED 0% financing can't get it, the rich folks can.

REDZMAN is exactly right, this financing thing is weird. Anyway, they told me the banks would give me the rates if I pay off my loan completely, it was our suggestion. So we're thinking about it. If i pay off the loan completely, I won't have money for the zefiro bodykit... unless real-engineering does financing hahaha...
